I had nearly forgotten I sang this song (Its been nearly 15 years ago, and its been a tremendous time of tumult to say the least). I had it a playlist, and my wife and I were listening to it. I wanted her to hear some of the other artists I like on this site. When this song kicked on, She casually mentioned that the singer's voice sounded familiar. "That's me!" I exclaimed. It was so good to hear it after all this time. Gary wrote some really great lyrics and everyone really stepped up to bat on it. Now she listens to it at least once a day. That's always a good feeling. Thanks for letting me take part in it.Hey Vic,
Great to hear this song again. Brought back great memories.
All the best, MorrisLoved the train"Pure as Country Water"as they say.
Great harmonies , Pickin' & great recording sound.Pro all the way. I got one called the "The Train" on my page wrote in 70's. Don't play much.Pre high tech tape machine
home recording. I just use the train as an observation car for my usual yapping about life.Good going all of you.
Gene T.Being from an old railroad town on the Mississippi river, and a father that worked for the railroad, I tend to be attracted to these songs. The whistle 'moaned', as you put it so nicely, every night as I layed in bed as a child. I always found ithe sound so soothing. Anyway, great song, LOVED the lyrics!! You have a wonderful voice.

RosieTerrific song. Love em all !I love train songs. Harmonies are excellent. Great job.
I haven't heard this track in quite a while. I knew when I heard Gary post this song he wrote that I would have to take a stab at recording it. Everyone did a stelar job on their respective parts. I think that I'm going to work it up with my band. It would go over very well in my neck. Hope everyone is doing well.-Louie
