Arthur's Gone to Avalon
Renbourn-Inspired New Age Song | Arthur's Gone to Avalon by A Little Uneasy | Free Download
A magical, mystical song in 14/8 timing by Norwich songwriter Mick Hardy. Rick plays a Taylor guitar (on your left) and Heather a Parker Fly (right).
Semi-acoustic guitar, bass and vocal duo, 2000-2006, no longer together
Both with folk roots overlaid with classical training, both with many years’ rock-band experience but without having lost a passion for jazz and blues, and both still nuts about their playing without taking themselves too seriously, Rick Hayward and Heather Enid Wells were A Little Uneasy.

Story behind the song
We heard Mick play this at the Music House, he is a very modest guy and was thrilled to think someone wanted to play one of his songs. There's more about Mick on our Travelling Records website, under "Artistes".
Lyrics
ARTHUR'S GONE TO AVALON
I wonder what the world was like a long, long time ago. I wonder who the people were, who built the standing stones. Monuments from ancient times, silent mysteries, cold relics of some golden age they left for you and me.
Arthur's gone to Avalon. He's only sleeping, so we're told. He'll come back here when he's called, Pendragon King from days of old. Merlin's still there in the wood, he'd like to help us if he could. It's down to us to hit the trail, go through the Wasteland, find the Grail.
I've walked along the ancient roads. I've walked along the leys in search of distant memories, a taste of former days. I heard a distant melody. It wasn't very clear. A sound resounds through history. It echoed in my ear.
Arthur's gone to Avalon. He's only sleeping, so we're told. He'll come back here when he's called, Pendragon King from days of old. Merlin's still there in the wood, he'd like to help us if he could. It's down to us to hit the trail, go through the Wasteland, find the Grail.
