Story behind the song
This song is about dreaming as a kid, and hanging out after school, and growing up in Gadsden Alabama!
Lyrics
It was just the other day that I caught myself dreamin thinkin back to a long time ago. Headin on down there to Big Wills creek down Pump Station Road. We'd go there right after school, to do some huntin or some fishin, maybe we would just like to get away, to do some dreamin and some wishin. yeah yeah Well it might have been crazy to be dreamin so big, but I was gonna be a star. A doctor or a lawyer, a dentist or a teacher, but wound up playing in a bar. I never thought I might be settling down, havin some kids of my own. Life will pass you by with a wink of an eye, and then your kids are grown. yeah yeah The moral of the story is you'd better not wait, you better keep your dreams alive. I've got a real job, and I work real hard, but I'll be singin this song tonight yeah yeah Ride.....repeat first verse
