With a wide variety of sounds including folk, funk and jazz, Rift has been able to create a groovy buzz wherever they go. As a "band that defies description," (Bullfrogmusic.com) Rift combines influences such as Bob Marley, Dave Matthews and Stevie Wonder with their own unique blend, creating a style that appeals to a diverse crowd, young and old. "I never dreamed that we'd make it this far," says Rift's lead man, Scott Gossen, referring to the success of Rift's newest album: Songs for the Road Ahead, as well as a number of recently packed out shows.
