Lyrics
Midnight drive, I'm thinking up lines to romanticize five years of running away from you. I'm dreaming of your eyes. Did we ever say goodbye? I'm all alone tonight. It's me and this dark sky, and I'm dying to say goodnight. I know that it's been a long time, and you could tell me you're far away. But minutes and miles just fall in line, feelings don't easily fade away on those nights when the sky turns a stale shade of gray and you can't remember the light of day. Another day's indifferent escape, what could I ever say to you? Could I ever find the words to change your mind, or would it be a waste of time? I'm holding on too tight underneath bright starlight, and I'm dying to say goodnight.
