Lyrics
Time goes by, your strength gets faint
A life fulfilled a picture to paint
Moments drift like fading light
Softly blurring into night
Though your steps may slow their pace
I see the love still in your face
The way you reach, the way you stay
Still holding on, though far away
As days go by, you’re fading away
Just like the sun at the fall of day
Like dusk forgetting how to be bright
Still, you are beautiful in this light
The memories made will never die
A bond forever just you and I
Reflecting on the past sometimes
I tell the tales, to share good times
Though stories slip through cracks in thought
The love behind them can't be caught
But in your eyes, a flicker stays
Of who you were in younger days
It lingers in the touch we share
A presence felt, beyond the air
And as the light begins to bend
I’ll hold you gently to the end
As days go by, you’re fading away
Just like the sun at the fall of day
Like dusk forgetting how to be bright
Still, you are beautiful in this light
The memories made will never die
A bond forever just you and I
Reflecting on the past sometimes
I tell the tales, to share good times
Like dusk forgetting how to be bright
Still, you are beautiful in this light
The memories made will never die
A bond forever just you and I
The clock keeps turning, slow and kind
But time can’t steal what’s in the mind
A touch, a laugh, the way you cared
These stay with me forever there
And though the light begins to fade
Your love is something time can't shade
Still here with me, in every way
A gentle soul that chose to stay
So rest your eyes, let twilight fall
You’ve given love, the greatest call
Though time moves on and we must part
You’ll always live within my heart
