Dedicated to happy days spent worshiping with the folk at West Kirby Elim Pentecostal Church back in the late 1970's.

There's a little town church at the bottom of the hill
Where the congregation never get bored
Every Sunday I used to go there, Sing my praises to the Lord
The people there were always so friendly
They seemed to have so much joy 
It was all I could do, to stop leaping from the pew
Doing a little dance for the Lord.

The service used to start with everybody singing,
All shouting praise to the Lord
There might be a hymn, someone would get up and sing,
As the organist strikes up the chords.
Everybody got down to pray, Troubles and doubts would drift away
Everybody joined together,  And tried to be on one accord.

After a time of singing and praying, Pastor laid the gospel down
You could usually tell by peoples reactions, If what was said was sound.

The Spirit spoke to my heart, It was like I was standing on holy ground
