Lyrics
‘That’s What The Blues is All About’ Your heart says yes but your head says no And you’re tangled up in doubt You wanna cry, scream n’ shout, let go That’s what the blues is all about Life’s been so hard and you’re scattered to the wind There’s no turning away from the night Where do you start to begin When you’re falling like a shadow in the light Tougher than the tears you cry Harder than the heartbreak in your heart Love is gonna tell you goodbye, yeah And the blues is gonna tear you all apart Sometimes you wake and the dream is real And your yesterday’s all gone by Caught up in the heartache you feel And trapped by the danger of the fight Silenced by the sadness of your pain, oh Lord And broken by the fear of your doubt Wishing you could start all over again That is what the blues, that is what the blues is all about Oh, tougher than the tears you cry Harder than the heartbreak in your heart Love is gonna tell you goodbye And the blues is gonna tear you all apart Silenced by the sadness of your pain And broken by the fear of your doubt Wishing you could start all over again Now that is what the blues, that is what the blues is all about…all about Now that is what the blues, that is what the blues is all about © Maria Daines/Paul Killington 2nd April 2018 Thanks to Annie Spratt of Unsplash.com for her beautiful photograph.

Beautiful blues ballad. Maria's vocals are blue and powerful. Love the guitar work - soulful and beautifully played. Great production as usual. Nice one Maria and Paul.

oooh now that's what the blues is all about and then some. You did it to me again. I love everything about this band and that voice was just made for the blues.

What a fine piece of work! An EXTRAORDINARY vocal performance here Maria... just total pro delivery. "Where do you start to begin when you are falling like a shadow in the light"....killer line! Really hard to write an arrangement to handle the lyrical content and keep it interesting, but once again, Paul has risen to the occasion. Great dynamics and playing throughout and the stops in the last verse were icing on the cake for me. So good to see you guys posting here again. Bravo on a job well done!
