Story behind the song

Words and melody were written in 2000. Finally recorded in 2014. After writing the words and melodies, this song stayed on the back burner for 13 years. We began recording this when  in May of 2013, Kevin stopped at the studio to record his electric piano and organ parts. In early summer of 2013, Kirk laid down the drums. Again it went on the back burner as I recorded some other pieces throughout the remainder of 2013. In fall/winter of 2013, I returned to it to finish recording guitars and bass. In February of 2014, Elaine and Laura added their amazing backing vocals to the last chorus. Finally in March of 2014, the song is being mixed and completed. I'm very pleased with the result and think it was worth the wait. I hope to soon record more songs with these excellent fellow musicians and singers.
