Story behind the song
I wrote this without any vocals in mind, borrowing a bit from Herby Hancock's "Maiden Voyage." But while I liked how it sounded, I didn't think it was good enough. So I shelved it for another time. Then as I'm searching for samples I can use, I came across this really gruff voice that sounded evil when detuned and there were phrases on that theme. I mixed a few in and the music took on a new, darker feel. Right then I knew I had a new name for the song and I could finish the mix.
