Story behind the song
Technical Credits: Lainie Ernst on Vocals Rob Wessel on Bass, Guitar Kevin Brown on Organ Kirk McFarlin on Drums Produced and Engineered by: Wessel & Ernst I got the idea for this song on a lark, really. I decided it needed to be written after I heard Rob Wessel’s tune “Got My Ol’ Guitar” which you can listen to here: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=1020983&songID=11094881 This is my freshman attempt at songwriting, singing the blues and recording. My experience is in background, ensemble, and choral voice work on other people’s music, so this process is new to me. While I wouldn’t call this my best work, I enjoyed doing it and I’m going to keep working on vocal technique and writing...it’s such a blast! Thanks for listening!
