I wanted to break away from my traditional subject matter and try and delve into the deeper aspects of relatable fiction.

a child in pain screams out from under the burden of a life more empty than full restless and wandering she readies the blade for the final cut in life that will bring her to sleep at that very moment just outside her door a cheating husband struggles with the guilt that will swallow him whole he chokes it down then cocks back the hammer little does he know that he's being watched by his son who really gives a sh** anyway that's just the way the world is your lucky in life if you kinda fit in it's just a name on a death certificate cuz that's just the way the world is a lonely old man once a proud soldier and a father now he's left inside a room with no view forgotten and weak he tries to recall a distant better time but instead he softly cries himself to sleep a pretty young nurse waits outside his door feeling guilty for things she never told her own father she rushes home and picks up that telephone just in time to hear the news that he has died in his sleep how can we give a sh** anyway that's just the way the world is why even think twice with the knife to your wrist it's just a name that god's crossed of his list cuz that's just the way the world is oh yeah that's just the way the world is either you live or you die or you quit another name that god's crossed off his list cuz that's just the way the world is
