Story behind the song
This song is inspired by a reality that all Christians have to face. And was dramitized
to me thru my friend Tim Gerliksiky who I had the pleasure of woking with for over10 years.
Tim spent a weekend at a Christian meeting, Then at work on Monday he was high in the
Spirit, sharing Jesus and rejoicing in the Lord.
As the week went on Tim had hard duty, and by the following Friday afternoon,
his rejoicing in the Lord had diminished.
Tim's week of struggles and outcome, brought back memories, of my own life
with my failures.
For in my life there was a period where I had the pleasure of living
on the Mountain Top. However, there were things I needed to learn about myself and the
the Grace and Mercy of our Lord, so my mountain top time had to end.
As Christians I know we have all shared the same ups and downs in our spirituality,
also as Christians we know that our walk with our Lord is a day to day, hour by hour,
and minute by minute experience.
The way to minimize the ups and downs is to stay focused on Jesus and His Word,
and to always be aware of who we are, Children Of God.
The Mountain Top Spiritual Highs we receive are to refresh us, to then go forward
boldly and strong.
This is the motivation behind this work.
This song has helped me to stay focused, and I hope it will help others also.
