Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
In 1999, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, a vision was placed on the hearts of Carlos & Angela DuBose to start a gospel group called Totally Real Ministries. The scriptural foundation can be found in the writings of Solomon when he profoundly stated..."Trust in the Lord with all thine heart: and lean not unto thy own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths (Proverbs 3:5,6)." Many changes had transpired and the group wanted to aspire to the next level of their singing ministry and experience all venues of the christian music genre; so they might effectively minister to the entire body of Christ the message of Jesus Christ. This became the main focal point and vision of each member of the group. Henceforth the name "Totally Real" was birthed. The secondary purpose of the ministry is to inform everyone,through their continued and diligent walk with the saviour, that as christians we can still have fun and maintain a lifestyle of righteousness and holiness without compromisingthe principles of God. This fact becomes apparent in the songs composed by the group, which describes some of their experiences on their christian journey. It has not always been easy but Totally Real has prevailed in the face of trials and tribulations and have remained faithful through it all. It is their earnest and most sincerest prayer that their songs will minister to every heart, mind and soul to effect a closer and more intimate relationship with God.
