Topher (Chris Harper) has been playing music since the age of 12, when he picked up his mom's old bass and started learning Blink-182 songs. In may of 2001, he got his first guitar. He picked it up quick, - probably because he'd always played bass like a guitar, - and eventually got better. While talent was becoming a factor in his playing, he bought more guitars and tried to experiment with different sounds, initially arriving at blends of emo, hardcore, and alternative. As for the demo CD soon to be available locally and on the internet, Topher stuck to more of the emotional feel, with hints of mainstream-sounding rock, and hardcore.Have you performed in front of an audience?I don't play live yet but I'm hoping I can get some people together who like to play what I like to play. Mostly hardcore these days.
Your musical influences
I like a bunch of bands. Too many to name here, but there are a lot of mediocre musicians who write catchy stuff, and a lot of really good musicians who don't get recognized for their talent. I try to maintain a nice balance of both when listening to music.Ajay's Rock Station

Hey. All the songs are good, but I especially like "The Pain Beneath" and "Standing Alone." You have some good lyrics here, to go along with outstanding musical talent. Keep it up and maybe someone will notice. Good stuff!I really like the music you came up with. I'm guessing that you did everything yourself. I liked 1000 kisses the best. Hey, Toph, you need more messages here. Where are all your adoring fans? You should post some of your current stuff, too. You have too much talent to go unnoticed. Ajay
