Tool of Destruction
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Tool of Destruction formed in Livermore, California (part of the San Francisco Bay Area), in the summer of 1996, and initially comprised guitarist John Reilly, vocalist Shaun Perry, drummer Nut (Jason Langlois), and bass guitarist Kevin Chaplin. In their primary incarnation, the group drew a heavy influence from AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Korn, Deftones, Metallica, Megadeth and Sepultura and honed their skills on the livermore music circuit. Later They added rhythm guitarist Kyle Christensen to help beef up the bands sound. Tool of Destruction (T.O.D. for short) became the most Hated band in Livermore for their cocky attitudes and bad behavior, along with a town full a graffitti the rest of the local acts did not pay any respect to boys in T.O.D. In 2001 the band faded away from the Livermore music scene. In that time some of the band members turn to drugs and fell on to hard times. Band Members John Reilly and Shaun Perry stayed busy with a rap project called Ded Body Crew which released a album titled "Night of the Livin' Ded". The project was made just for fun. Kevin Chaplin joined the United States Army. Shaun Perry moved to Reno and started a family. John Reilly is working on a progressive hard rock band called "The Green Anvil" which includes Nut on drums. Kyle lives in Californias central valley somewhere. Recently Band members John Reilly, Shaun Perry, and Nut have decided to start up Tool of Destruction again. "We have some unfinished business" say John Reilly. They are currently working on an EP which will feature some classic T.O.D. material and then plan to write brand new music soon afterwards.
