Tony Patterson is solo artist from Newcastle Upon Tyne, England. He is currently fronting the top UK Genesis tribute band 'ReGenesis' and has released two solo albums to critical acclaim.
He is currently writing an Instrumental/Orchestral project called 'RA' which is scheduled for release in 2006.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I have been playing in bands for many years, mainly keyboards. I started my first solo album 'Defining Blue' after my first year with ReGenesis. I don't think I got it 100% right but it layed down the foundations for future projects and it was a really enjoyable experience. My second solo album 'Barriers' was released two years later, and I'm currently working on an instrumental project called 'RA' which should be ready sometime in 2006.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I play live with ReGenesis and have played one or two solo dates. I've also been working with John Hackett and we played a gig in Newcastle in July 2005. A John Hackett tour is planned for 2006.
Your musical influences
My biggest influence would be Genesis,Peter Gabriel and Steve Hackett I suppose. I also love Film music, world music and Jazz.
What equipment do you use?
I use all sorts of instruments from acoustic pianos to Duduk!

I'm really enjoying learning to orchestrate
