Tony Hunter
Tony is an independant composer / producer and protools recording engineer. He has a long history of performance as a drummer and percussionist as well as teacher. He also plays guitar, keyboards and Saxaphone (very badly). He is always willing to work with other musicians in any location worldwide.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Playing since 1972 as a semi pro and pro drummer amnd percussioninst. Studied Jazz with Kieth Copeland at the Northern Ireland Jazz Summer Schools. Worked as a session player in Northern Ireland, UK and more recently opened Freedom Studios in Cork, Ireland as a communtiy based recording facility. Recorded loal artists including, Cordite, Anne Marie Ryan, Amanda, Gerrie Dean, The Lotion, Duece Wild, and Brute Force and Ignorance.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Live is my preferance. Here in Cork in Ireland we have a fw Jazz and Blues outlets and a lot of acoustic performance opportunities.
Your musical influences
All music played well, particularly, Latin Jazz, Fusion (Tony Williams, ChickChorea), Santana, in fact anybody who plays with a passion and belief in their music.

Premier Signia drums, Shecter and Lowden guitars, Mackie consols, Protools DAW, Yamaha and Korg keys
