Hello, you have reached The Tonoloway Ramblers soundclick page. We got together in early 2002 and have been having fun and making music ever since. We are located in south central PA in a small village called Warfordsburg. The members are Jeff Chesnut on banjo, guitar and vocals,Dave Gregory on the stand up acoustic bass, Tracy Mellott on rhythm and lead guitar and vocals. The Dobro is being played by Stephen Schoenadel who was a member for 1 1/2 years, but went on to play the blues on guitar and is now getting into the pedal steel guitar also. The fiddle player and vocalist is Joel Wilt Who's sister just happened to marry my brother Ray. We just can't seem to get away from each other, but I ain't complaining
Good luck my friend and good music

Band/artist history
The Tonoloway Ramblers were started in the mid 1930's by Jeff Chesnut's uncles. The original band members were John, Mark, and Merrill Covalt,
Roy Peck and Neil Addlesberger. The Covalts are Chesnut's uncles in case you were wondering.
The second version of the Ramblers was started by Delmar Mellott, which happens to be Tracy Mellott's father. Are you starting to see this family thing and roots in our area? The other members of the 2nd version were Lloyd Smith, Melvin Everetts, Dale Souders, George Paylor, Lex Mellott, Emory Fleegle and probably some I am forgeting. Jeff Chesnut and Tracy Mellott were also members at times during the mid 70's
The latest version 3.11 is still kicking and having fun and just glad to be playing. The band was an accident because we would get together on Thursday nights and jam and we called ourselves "The Thursday Night Music Club"
We have evolved into The Ramblers once again. The Latest version 3.11 is Jeff Chesnut,Dave Gregory and Tracy Mellott
Have you performed in front of an audience?
We all play live because if we were dead our fingers wouldn't move
Your musical influences
Jazz, Bluegrass, Old Country from the 50's through the 80's, Django Reinhardt Gypsy Jazz, Rock and Roll, Swing, Blues and whatever else catches our ears
What equipment do you use?
Banjo, Guitar, Bass, Dobro, Shopping Bags and Mouse Trap and we have a hub cap which we are all trying to learn how to play
Anything else?
Give us a listen and tell us what you think
Take your shoes off, set a spell
Ya'll Come Back Now, Ya Hear

This is real music! I´m happy everytime I find a band, that still is playing this kind of oldtime music! - Peo
Just had a listen to In the Mood
Loved it! I love jazz, and I love bluegrass--great blend of the two genres.

Hey, I saw that my grandfather, Emory Fleegle, was part of your band. I play banjo and guitar, I'd love to get together sometime. My email is revellfa@hotmail.com
