8- and 6-string guitarist Tom Lippincott lives, gigs, records, and teaches in Southeast Florida. He primarily composes modern mainstream to postmodern/avant garde jazz but also plays jazz standards, classical, pop, rock, blues, country, etc...
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Tom started studying guitar as a teenager, received a bachelor's in jazz studies from the University of North Texas, and a master's in jazz performance from the University of Miami.
Since 1990, he has played gigs, concerts, and recording sessions all over South Florida, the U.S., the Caribbean, Central America, Europe, and Asia.
He currently teaches at Miami Dade College, Florida International University, Broward College, and from his home studio.
