Tom Kerswill

Acoustic music which is nice and mellow, but has some surprises... You'll find intense lyrics and plenty of dark edges here too.

Always Be There Always Be There

This has the elements of a love song but... well, isn't just a love song. In some ways an ode to modern life, in some ways just a simple acoustic ballad.

Acoustic Folk

Lullaby Lullaby

An acoustic song about change, being somewhere new, and living in a city...

Acoustic Folk

makes mellow acoustic music in Totnes, South West UK. You'll find a lot of dark edges here, and lyrics that will haunt you. But the tunes are catchy in a funny kind of way and will stick inside your head.
Band/artist history
I've been doing music for ages and ages. I was born in Glastonbury in 1981, lived in Somerset until the age of 18, then moved to Cambridge to go to university.... At that time there wasn't much time to make music. So I made up for it by moving down to Totnes in Devonin 2003. I've been doing music more or less full time since then. The focus has always remained the same - simple, catchy songs played on acoustic guitar.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
You can catch me at folk clubs, open mic nights and gigs around the South West of England... especially near Totnes!
Your musical influences
Levellers, REM, David Gray, Damien Rice, Idlewild, Smashing Pumkins, Red Hot Chillie Peppers, Blur, James Tailor, Elliot Smith.
What equipment do you use?
Yamaha acoustic guitar. Yamaha stage piano. Rhode NT1 Mic. Logic audio and Midiman Delta soundcard. Various synthy type things.
Anything else?
You'll find a load of my stuff if you search Google... best place to start is at the official website, . I'm also on a few other mp3 pages, and have scored a recent UK number one on Besonic.co.uk, which is nice! I hope you enjoy the music.
