in the himalayan mountains,

tibetan monks are known for creating thier own inner heat or "tuomo"

to defy the cold.

this is especailly prevalent when thier tuomo tested in an initiation

ceremony where they sit

naked by a river in the night while

fellow monks pure ice water over them.

when the world is absolutely falling apart, so tuomo is a metaphor for just

holding your own while everything

around you falls to pieces...

plus i believe I was once tibetan in another life.

tuomo is an alias name for me and the music i've been

recording over the past 11 years.

i've been recording pseudo-conceptual

cassette tapes since i was like 11.

i've played in one heavy metal band,

when i was 15, and knew right away

that there was no way i

would be able to play conventional

r'n'r ever again...since then i've

just tried to be as creative, spontaneous and emotional as i could be...The first

"real" album I recorded was made on

my grandma's computer, was named

"ice clouds" and was finally released

by Statue records in LA under my old name "penumbra(e)" or whatever.

I am currently working on

two follow up albums, taking

advantage of this restricted

time.

we'll see what happens.

I play live at home and with friends but

am always needing a drummer it seems, so

I mostly just record on my familys laptop.

grew up on beatles.

first two albums i baught were tool undertow and beck mellow gold.

cant resist radiohead and thier ongoing

evolution.

nirvana is the reason I picked up a guitar. skinny puppy.
