TKRox's style combines the powerful delivery of Hip Hop lyricysm, the harmony and emotion of Soul vocals, the primal urgency of contemporary beats and an honest and wise insight into life, love and everything else.
His porno style and insistence on referring to himself in the third person round off a perplexing, completely unmarketable and yet endearing persona- a legend in the making.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Born in London, raised in Johannesburg and ruined in Cape Town. TKRox has been from high highs to very low lows on his bumpy road to fulfilment. He documents his journey in song such that you can find insight, inspiration and redemption from his life (his)story.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
TK most often performs with his buddy and collaborator The General DarkBlood. TK's mother is a big fan having heard a live radio performance by the pair on a major local radio station, Yfm.
TK has also performed widely as a DJ.

Jazz greats like Miles Davis, Hugh Masekela, Abdullah Ibrahim and Joe Sample.
Soul icons like Donny Hathaway, Nina Simone, Marvin Gaye, Roberta Flack, Miriam Makeba, Curtis Mayfield and Al Jarreau.
R&B balladeers Atlantic Star, Mariah Carey, the Jacksons, Babyface and Whitney Houston.
Hip Hop artists like Biggie, Jay Z, Common, Nas, The Roots, 2Pac, De La Soul, DJ Premier and more recently Kanye West.
Old school pop music like the BeeGees and The Carpenters and bands like Nirvana, the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Coldplay.
All have influenced TKRox's style in their own way.
