Tipkast
I'm a recording engineer/producer/artist. I've been producing and making beats since the mid-nineties. I usually don't use samples, and play all the instruments myself. However, as an engineer I'm proficient with Protools, fruity loops, digital preformer, MPCs, and all other type of sequencing programs.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I am pretty much a studio guy. I have a studio in my house, and I spend all my spare time in there. I also do live shows sometimes engineering for a local band.
Your musical influences
I am real old school, so I love all the late eighties and early nineties hip hop, motown, stax, old school gospel, jazz, classical, and classic rock. I have many favorite artists that are too numerous to name. But if the melody is nice, or the percussion sounds especially lively, I am drawn to it, and will draw inspiration from it.
What equipment do you use?
I use whatever I get my hands on. My favorite combo right now are my fender bass, my yamaha keyboard, my alesis DM5 drumset, and reason adapted 3.0.5. All going into protools. That's my current setup.
Anything else?
Just check out the beats, and get at me if you like anything you hear. Keep in mind though, "I'm an artist, and I'm sensitive about my shit!!!!!!"
