Hi I'm tinyfolk and I play little pop songs on my ukulele, mostly.Band/artist history
I started out being called "a pilgrimage to save this human race" but that name is really long so now I'm just tinyfolk. Not much history. I write and record all my stuff in my dorm room, but I used to do it upstairs in my parents house. I used to record on a radioshack tape recorder, now I record using the internal mic on my ibook. Woo.Have you performed in front of an audience?I've played a bunch of shows this summer at Wired Cafe in Evansville, Indiana. I'm just starting to play shows here in Bloomington. Other than that, I played in Franklin, TN once with Cowboy Dynamite, Save Macaulay and Ultimate Nerdage once and that was way neato.
Your musical influences
I like pop music, stuff like tullycraft, small factory, milky wimpshake, the softies, dennis driscoll. I also like acoustic stuff like the mountain goats. And the microphones are great. And I have a really really big jonathan richman poster on my wall. And I think that dog. is a wonderful band as well.
I play tiny little i-have-a-crush-on-you pop songs, for the most part but sometimes i'm sad and my songs aren't so happy.What equipment do you use?
I've got a ukulele, an autoharp, and a toy piano. It doesn't really matter what kind.Anything else?
