Born in Detroit, Tim started writing when he was 15. He played in bands growing up and moved to Dallas in the early 80’s to start a recording studio with a buddy from college. There he developed his engineering skills and continued to hone his songwriting abilities. He married, and in the late 80’s moved his family back home to the Motor City.
Tim now lives with his wife in Northwest Ohio.
Band/artist history
Tim writes songs as a sort of journaling. “My dad died when I was 18. I often say that he died while he was still stupid." (Pauses to let the listener figure out who was the stupid one.) "I never had the presence of mind to ask him what he thought about life. I missed my chance to know him. That’s why I write. I figure, some day my kids might change their mind, and decide that they do care what I think. If that happens, there’ll be some kind of record. They may not dance to it, but I hope they’ll catch themselves humming the tune.â€
Recently he has begun to submit his music for use in venues other than his journal. “Some of these songs flowed so quickly, that I began to feel like I was holding onto something that wasn’t mineâ€. A recent song, written right after 9-11, is one of these. “Look to You†speaks to the choices we make when we respond to hatred and tragedy, and to the significance of the individual's response.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I don't play live. My routine: 1. I write songs. 2. I record adequate demos to portray the songs 3. Write more songs.
I'm hoping that providence will bring my tunes together with a producer, voice and band that can carry them. If you are interested in publishing, producing, recording, or performing any of my music, please contact me through my webpage.

Sounding good gents !!!
(;U DA MAN TIM;)Enjoyed Da Listen.Love it.
Tim, this is so simple yet so well put together. Tidy harmonies, nice fiddle work and real neat storyline. Well done.
Tim, this is a great song. Actually, it's probably the most professional tune I've heard on this site. The only problem I have with the lyrics is that you say we should trust in our own hearts. I know that the bible says that man's heart is deceitful and we should NOT trust in it.
"Trust in the Lord..... and lean not to thine own understanding", says God's word. Trust only in God.
That's what I believe anyway. I see your song as a possible for Country radio but not Christian. It rocks!
