Timo Somers
Timo Somers is a 17 year old guitar-addict from Holland.
Since his 12th lifeyear he became obsessed with the guitar, playing it for at least 5 hours a day.
Timo explored the world of guitar on his own, without any lessons or whatsoever.
,Music is the ultimate form of self-expression, Timo says.
,I could not possibly imagine a life anymore without it,
whether I am sad, happy, confused, crazy, I always find a way to express my feelings trough my guitar,
a life without a guitar is like a life without a soul, for me.
Since his 15th birthday Timo spent a lot of time recording his own songs at his homestudio.
After playing some live guest solo's, Timo became a full member of 'Vengeance',
(one of the most well known Dutch Hardrock bands) at age 17.
After some great gigs (with a.o. Gary Moore, Status Quo, Saxon, Doro, 10CC,Axel Rudi Pell,etc),
Timo decided to form an own band to play his recorded songs over the years.
He asked his dad Jan Somers (the second guitarplayer of Vengeance) for the Funky Bass duties
and fellow Vengeance member John Emmen as the groovemachine.
That day KiXi was born.

Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
KiXi is thé new funk-rock sensation from the lowlands. With only three members; Timo Somers, Jan Somers and John Emmen they create a whole freaky, funky and catchy wall of sound. Timo wrote a lot of material at his homestudio and decided he'd put together a band to play these great songs for the people. He asked his dad to handle the funky bass duties and fellow Vengeance member John Emmen as the groovemachine. Together they recorded this insane genre-bending rock which has to be heard Feel the powerfull,energetic vocals,the screaming,insane guitars the funky assbouncing bass and the ultra tight grooves.
