Just little ol me at the moment,cheated a bit as picture is 20 yrs old,havnt changed much,honest!.I played in various local bands in Leicester from 83 till feb 97.
I just wanted to put a few of my tunes onto see if they generate any interest.
Their might be a bit of a small reunion with some of the members of the last band i was in,Mondo Kane.

Band/artist history

First band Raw Material Feb 1983,4 Jam mad individuals and it shows in the music.Split about 2 years later.A few different line ups followed over next 2 years most noticable being the addition of keyboard player Midge Hassel.
Raw Material floundered again after a couple of years and we split.
I didnt do anything for a while then Midge rang me and suggested we got a new band together.
Andy Askey on bass(now in Echolocation) and Des Hunt on drums eventually joined us.We called ourselves the Career Girls and off we went again.We played,as before,the pub circuit in Leicester plus student venues.Andy was from " oop North" so we started to play further afield with mixed success.The lineup was complete when Andys girlfriend(now wife)Maria joined us on backing vox.
We did manage to get a bit of interest from the A& R dept of Island records and the producer Bob Sargent but it never got us that elusive deal.
Midge left in the early 90s(which was a blow as he was joint songwriter on a large amount of our material).
Dave hammond stepped in on guitar and we renamed ourselves Mondo Kane.We became one of the many Leicester Britpopesqe type bands and dabbled in a bit of grunge as well.
I called it a day in Feb97 just before my daughters arrival on the scene.
Family commitments etc have stopped me doing much for the last 9 years but we are trying to get the Mondo Kane lineup together for a bit of a reunion.

Have you performed in front of an audience?

Not at the moment.I do miss playing gigs but dont miss all the faffing around, humping gear,soundchecking etc that goes on before and after you do your 40 mins.

Your musical influences

All the great sixties Brit bands(Beatles,Who,Kinks and Small Faces),New wave( The Jam Buzzcocks,Stranglers),Madchester/Indie with a final dash of soul and funk.

What equipment do you use?

Rickenbacker(6 string) and Squier Strat,original 1967 Vox AC30 and a cheapo version of an ovation electro acoustic.Various foot operated effects pedals.
