Just having fun, loving music. I play in a celtic rock band called Chancers Hooley www.chancershooley.com I also love to record both originals and covers. Generally I sing and play most of the parts This includes all Guitars, Bass, Keyboards, hand Percussion and Harmonica and drum programming for those that are electronic. Lately I have been using Jamstix for the programmed drums. If you are into that kind of stuff check it out, it is really cool.
I do all of the recording, engineering and production as well using Reaper Software.Band/artist history
I grew up in Arvada Colorado and have lived in the Denver area my whole life, playing in lots of cover bands. I still play a few gigs a year with "Too Much Fun" based out of Boulder. My favorite (and most successful) was "Big Woody and The Bushmen" (search soundclick for songs) up until now with Chancers..Have you performed in front of an audience?I totally dig playing live. Recording and studio is great but nothing better than in front of (and with) other folks. At the end of the day, I am a big ham, so yes I love to play live in the Denver area.
Your musical influences
Joe Walsh, The Who, The Beatles (of course), Chicago and James Taylor were early influences. I also really like The Decemberists, DADA, Collective Soul and Cracker as well as Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys, Frank Turner and The Dreadknots. What equipment do you use?
Guitars, I have always been a Gibson guy, so the requsite LesPaul and SG, but I also have a Gretch that I really like. Recently added a Strat and really like it. Acoustic, I have a Taylor and Guild. Keyboards are Yamaha. For recording I have been using an outstanding program called REAPER. (www.reaper.fm) and as I mentioned Jamstix for drum programming. All comments (1)
