Tim Brown
Tim Brown is a singer/guitarist/songwriter based in the Twin Cities. He has been performing for over 20 years primarily as a solo artist. His main guitar is an Olson SJ but he also can be seen playing his Martin D-25, Variax 500 & 700 acoustic. He performs through the spectacular Bose PAS system.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Coffeehouses, bars, restaurants, etc. Special moments? Opening up for Blood, Sweat and Tears and Iron Butterfly in the 1980s.
Your musical influences
Folk/rock. Major influences: Dylan, Lightfoot, Taylor, Cat Stevens, the Band, Joni Mitchell, Simon and Garfunkle, David Wilcox.
My songwriting is influenced by some of my favorite writers including: John Steinbeck.
