Band Bio
Rising stars in the southern New Mexico area. Currently an actively working cover variety danceband. We also perform originals in our shows. [NOTE: We don't play the same songs as everyone else except by request. We put "drive" in our Country; "soul" in our Blues; "power" in our Rock, and put special emphasis on "vocal harmonies". We give a "concert performance" regardless of the venue.]
TIMBERWOLF is a Variety Danceband playing popular songs from the 50's to the present. We are all music lovers first, and seasoned musicians second! We are NOT a 'clone band', nor a 'Tribute band'...meaning: We don't try to sound like 'anyone else'! We prefer to say we sound like 'us'! We have developed our own sound, and over the last six years, have been pleasing dancing and listening audiences, and having alot of fun in the process! We make 'no claims' to being better than anyone else, but whenever we play, it's an 'interactive' party between ourselves and our crowd..be they young or old...be it a paid venue or a charity! Our home port is the Tularosa Basin in southern New Mexico. Our band members are located in the towns of Alamogordo, La Luz, Tularosa, Bent, and Timberon. We define our genres of music as follows:
**Classic Rock, Country Rock, Blues Rock, Pop Rock
**Contemporary Country, Oldies Country
**Easy-Listening love ballads
**Some Latin/Tejano
**And 'originals' in all the above genres
Grand Funk Railroad
Creedence Clearwater Revival

As previously mentioned before in part...we have all played in other bands over the years. But our individual musical journey's finally brought us all together. Finding that we all got along, and all had the drive, ability and determination to make this band the best it could be, we have achieved alot.Have you performed in front of an audience? We play every chance we get! We practice on bi-weekly basis, and have been together now for three years. Music is apart of our lives, and it's tatooed on our souls. It's as much apart of us as eating or sleeping is! We have performed at every nitespot in this area, and at all the public park festivals. We are always looking for new venues.
Your musical influences
Our music spans the decades from the 50's to the present. Some of our many influences are [in random order]: Stevie Ray Vaughn, Carlos Santana; Amazing Rhythm Aces; Sam the Sham/Pharoahs; Lynyrd Skynyrd; Marshall Tucker; The Eagles; Grand Funk Railroad; Alan Jackson; Merle Haggard; Jerry Jeff Walker; and many, many more! --- We claim to have evolved into a "supergroup sound" similar to top bands of the 60-60's. But we strive for dynamics in sound, performance, and harmony! We currently have over 200 cover songs in our performance list, plus quite a few originals as well. We "bill" ourselves as a VARIETY DANCE BAND. It takes alot of dilligent practice and dedication from each member in a "team effort" to be able to jump from on genre to another during each set and successfully pull it off in a crowd-pleasing manner, but we have achieved this goal. Yet we continue to learn and perfect new songs to add to our list of favorites. What equipment do you use?
We use a personal variety of brand names from FENDER, WASHBURN guitars/amps to PEARL, LUDWIG drums.
