In the Ides of 2001 begins to get form Through the Valley, which covet to portrey in they songs the walk Through the Valley of The Shadow of Death, which is life in this land, full of traps and challenges, pain and suffering. In the mix of the fury and brutality of Death Doom (Paramaecium, Anathema, Antestor) with the large melancholic and reflexive meaning of Funeral Doom (Funeral, Skepticism, Until Death Overtakes Me) the band wants to express the fellings of a walker in this long jorney to the eternal rest.
After a interval the band begins compose the songs to the they first record, that will be a promo released in May/2003 (available only by the internet in the official website). The promo will be the foretoken to the official independent EP Via Crucis Part I, that will be out in later 2003. This record traces a parallel between the walk of Jesus to the calvary and our jorney, with our own cross, to reach the eternal rest.
