Threv
Miami based Electronica, Cool Beats, Cool Sounds, Great guitar Shredding. Som DnB, Some Breakbeats/Bigbeat,IDM. Whatever tickles my fancy when I sit down to compose.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
No History for Threv as I have not done much since my last band (Bergasse 19)
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I can, I do like it but not so much anymore (playing out). There aren't too many venues for live music in Miami and Electronic artists especially, unless you are heavily invested in the club scene. The Ultra Music Fest is good but mostly for established players. That said, My favorite place to gig was the Cameo theater on South Beach, nice acoustics, cool atmosphere, lots of history. Sadly they only book Hip-hop and more mainstream acts. The defunct Washington Square on the Beach was a great place but it too is now gone.
Your musical influences
Too many to list but 70's Electronica like T-Dream, Patric Moraz, Klaus Shulz, Jean Michel Jarre, Neuronium, as well as Yes (Rick Wakeman era). In the 80's I was into the New Wave scene that morphed to industrial (Alien Sex Fiend, Skinny Puppy Front 242, NiN etc.) and Goth such as fields of the Nephilim and Sisters of Mercy.
But I now get into alot of Stuff like BT, and Bitter:Sweet,Supreme beings of Lesiure, Propellerheads, Hideki Naganume, The Crystal Method, So whether its Drum n Bass, Trance, Acid, or Neo Lounge or J-Pop muzak it all has an influence at some point.
What equipment do you use?
Custom Built (by me) PC with Windows 7 RC1; Rack mounted Core 2 Duo 6600 4GB RAM, HP Tablet PC TC1100, Akai APC 40, M-Audio Axiom 49 and O2, M-Audio Project Mix I/O, Korg DRV2000, digitech DSP128, "Classic" digital Hardware Casio vz10m, Korg 707, Kawai xd-5, Korg m3r. and Misc stuff.
