Threshing Floor is Parish Ruth (vocals, guitars), Josh Ruth (bass), and Andy Covington (drums). This formation of the band began in early 2009.
Parish and Josh are brothers while Andy joined thru a mutual friend at church. From there we continued to meet at least once a week on the weekends to fellowship, pray then play.Band/artist history
Parish played guitar since 1983. Started playing punk, metal, and worship bands - some bands not mentioned are IOD (Idiots on Display), Blind Exstacy, What You Eat, Cutting Edge, and X-alt Force. Josh has 5 1/2 years on guitar, 3 years on bass. Rusted Fork, two worship bands at church. Andy has had several years on drums whiel playing in random bands.Have you performed in front of an audience?Not at this point. We are more interested in cranking out as many songs as possible and grow musically. It gets tiring playing the same set list for 1.5 years then you are burnt out. Instead, we choose to keep pushing and growing musically and record as we go along.
If/When we are led to play live, we will have plenty of material to draw from/

Parish uses Antares Flying V, Fender Squier Strat with rear Duncan single-humbucker as backup guitar plus 2 more pawn shop flying V's. Playing thru ADA MP-1 preamp with MC-1 foot controller, Alesis Quadraverb, ADA Microcab, 2 ART SLA1 Power amps going into 2 4x12 Berhinger cabinets. Floor pedals include Boss Noise Suppressor and Digitech Whammy.
Josh uses 1 OLP and 1 Music Man 4 string bass 3 EQ thru all Behringer heads and cabs - pedals are EVN phaser, Boss compressor, Dunlop Wah and Boss tuner. Andy plays entry level white PDP 6 piece drum kit with Evans heads and sabian cymbals.Anything else?
