I'm a 57 year old guitarist/songwriter living in Jamestown, California. I play guitar and keyboards.
Band/artist history
I started playing in bands at around thirteen years old. After nine years playing almost non stop I burned out and have in just the past couple of years started writing new stuff.
Infamous Eric Jackson plays bass and drums on 'Shine'.
Rey Varela plays bass on 'Nirvana At Last'
I'm proud to be a member of a new online collaboration band called 'The
SoundClique' Featuring Mike Kohlgraf, Rey Varela and myself.
Your musical influences
Some of my favorite bands are the classic standbys... Led Zeppelin, Yes, Rush, UFO, Pink Floyd... But, I enjoy many different genres, and am influenced by all of them as well.

Very well thought out song, Tom. You say you don't pay too much attention to lyrics but these were excellent. Only wish, once again, you'd paid more attention to the stereo separation on the instrument tracks...can easily see why you decided to revisit this piece, it is well worth putting some more effort into. You've got a winner here if you're willing to pursue it!

What we have here, Tom, is a near perfect song. The only possible critique being the use of the word "love" in the 1st & 2nd line of verse 3. Might I suggest changing "the love" in line 1 to "this thing". Great guitar, fine production, excellent vocals, tasteful attention to stereo separation. You've got a wonderfully upbeat song here that ANYONE would enjoy!!!

I'm probably not the best one to judge this piece as it's not a type of music I'm too crazy about. Vocals themselves were OK, but I didn't like the timing/phrasing on the choruses. Could have used a lot more stereo separation between channels. Sort of a Ted Nugent/Black Sabbath 70's Hair Band sound, but for fans of that genre I think most folks would like it if they heard it.

Like I told ya, very nice Alan Parsons/Pink Floyd type sound. Would've been 5 stars if in stereo. Really quite impressive for first time messin' with new computer program.

I love guitar jams and this sounded fine, but I still have the same complaint: what's the sense of recording in stereo if you're not going to take advantage of it, like 80% basic guitar sound in left channel, 80% guitar FX in rt channel. C'mon, think of the kid that just lit up & slapped on the headphones! If you are truly into production you must always think in terms of "How does it sound on headphones?" All else is secondary.
