ThinkTank developed their unique sound by successfully uniting crafty piano á la Tori Amos, distorted guitars, politically outspoken lyrics and vocal harmonies in their former band zRave. As the band progressed, so did the name. Thus, ThinkTank was born. As singer and classically trained pianist CASSY PHOENIX states, "It’s hard for people to categorize our style of music. And we like it that way. We like to think of it as art-rock meets psychedelia with handfuls of DIY ethic thrown in for good measure."
