Varangian Guard - Voyage to Northumbria (pre) Varangian Guard - Voyage to Northumbria (pre)
Unfinished, but it's something. Axe-FX, VHT D60 sim, superior 2.0 drums, Washburn WG-587 guitar (BKP Cold Sweat in bridge, DiMarzio Custom in neck)
80s rock-ish jam 80s rock-ish jam
Using the Powerball sim on the Axe-FX. Drum track is available on netmusicians if you want.
Terrafiction Terrafiction
A short instrumental track I wrote and recorded tonight over the course of a couple of hours. Both sides are Washburn WG-587 (BKP Cold Sweat bridge/DiMarzio Custom neck) into Axe-FX (Powerball, 4x12 Bogner cabs).
Varangian Guard - Song of Roland Varangian Guard - Song of Roland
Second song from 2009 demo. This one, I might add some more vocals (growls mostly) but it's pretty solid as it is, methinks.
Varangian Guard - Arsuf Varangian Guard - Arsuf
Drums are SD2.0, guitars are Washburn WG-587 into Axe-FX (Trainwreck) and bass is the WG pitch-shifted down an octave, since I don't have a bass here in Japan. Tom Hansberger on vocals except at 4:07, which is me.
Torn Resolve Torn Resolve
First track off of upcoming Solecism E.P. "Momentary Offering." No vocals yet.
Persistent Construct Persistent Construct
Third track off of upcoming Solecism EP. No vocals yet.
Material Transition Material Transition
Second track off of upcoming Solecism EP (rough master). Track is as yet unnamed. Both sides are one track of 5150 and one track of Trainwreck (Axe-FX models). On the left side the 5150 is dominant, and on the right side the Trainwreck is dominant.
Solecism song1 fragment - tone/mix test Solecism song1 fragment - tone/mix test
Pretty raw sound due to low (no) budget, but I'm trying to make the most of what I've got. This is three guitar tracks, left/right/center, four drum tracks (snare, kick, two OHs). Also there is one bass guitar track. Guitars/bass are Axe-FX.
Tone/riff test for new varangian guard song Tone/riff test for new varangian guard song
Trying out an intro and some riffs for a song for my thrash/power metal band Varangian Guard.
Refusal Refusal
Starts out with some phagist-y death metal, then goes into some melodic stuff, then some gritty rock, then finishes melodic. Ibanez K7 (Distortion in bridge) into Axe-FX (Trainwreck sim)
Gidan Gidan
17 guitar tracks.... well really 14 plus three ambient "feedback" tracks... but yeah this one was fun. This is somewhat of an experiment in "unclear" riffing... parts of the riffs written, other parts improvised. This was my K7 into my Axe-FX.
Malfeasance (instrumental) Malfeasance (instrumental)
Same as the other, except no vocals. Mostly because (a) I'm not sure about the performance, (b) I'm not sure about the mix, and (c) now you can hear the parts better. :)
Malfeasance Malfeasance
A new deathgrind song for Kuroi. Washburn WG-587 into Axe-FX using two tracks of Diezel (hard panned) and one track of Mark IIC+ (center).
New grind New grind
Just one guitar track; eventually there will be three or four, bass and vocals too. Just putting this up for criticism... Washburn WG-587 into Axe-FX Mark IIC+.
Crash n Burn cover + vocals Crash n Burn cover + vocals
well I kind of wrecked my voice doing this... damn...
Dokken - Crash N' Burn cover Dokken - Crash N' Burn cover
what if 90's In Flames covered Dokken...? well it would sound mostly like In Flames haha... Washburn WG-587 -> Axe-FX (Diezel Model)
Short bass solo Short bass solo
Well, I suck at bass but this is an improvised demo of some bass tonez through the Axe-FX. This is actually using an amp sim (the Dr. Z). The bass is a Peavey Foundation 5 string tuned down to A.
Electric Groove Electric Groove
Some electronica-flavored guitar lines that turn into some Fear Factory-esque jump-da-f*** -up. Seriously, wtf have I been writing these days?
ZOMG Commercial? ZOMG Commercial?
The opening riff sound like something out of mortal kombat... movie music here I come! Ibanez K7 -> Axe-FX...
