The Year I Grew Up
The Year I Grew Up consists of two hot young bodies that combined, play enough instruments to layer the hell out of a song.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
We met about three or four years ago and started playing music together, rotating from band to band until we realized we didn't like playing music with bands.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We will play live, but since we're only two people, the shows will take place mostly at coffee shops and the like rather than venues like The Milestone or Liquid Recordz. We like playing live. Any time we play together is a special moment.
Your musical influences
Adam is greatly influenced by Sonny Bono. Mike thinks Bruce Willis is a pretty solid musician.
What equipment do you use?
We use electric drumsets because it makes us sound like we did the drums professionally... and because we can.
Anything else?
