The Velvet Ash
This Orange County-based band is composed of Lilledeshan Bose on vocals, Mabel Cajayon on bass, Chie Orogo on guitars, Jenna Urban on keyboards, and Mark Roldan on drums. Their music has been described as shimmery, pretty eclectic pop, with grounded vocals and layered guitars. They cull their influences from various goth, punk, and indie pop-rock genres and wear their influences on their sleeves: Think a sexier Joy Division, or Interpol with a girl singing, or an always happy The Cure with drum beats as snappy as The Police's.
