Beyond The Five-Bar Gate Beyond The Five-Bar Gate

An acoustic 12 string guitar based tune with non-acoustic embellishments. A gentle stroll in the countryside beside a babbling brook on a perfect Summer's day.

Tribes Ancient & Modern (Flying with the Shamen) Tribes Ancient & Modern (Flying with the Shamen)

An experimental 'Tribal' piece created for the Coconut Blues Club Challenge (April 2011). A musical collage of keyboard generated sounds, drum beats, bass guitar, and guitar. All given a psychedelic flavoured mix.

Experimental

Nectar Of The Gods Nectar Of The Gods

A gentle 'acoustic' ambient piece using my Yamaha PSR 275 keyboard to mimic the sound of a Lyre, Pan-pipes and a 'heavenly' male/female choir. I've also used a couple of natural 'outdoor' samples; crickets chirping and bees 'buzzing'.

Ambient / experimental and sometimes, quieter pieces of music. but that's not to say that things may get louder from time to time . . .
Band/artist history
This page was to have been a place to put music that wasn't typical of either Major Snagg or Big Sleep recordings. It's a little redundant now. Just look on the Major Snagg page ... I put it all there nowadays.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
no, these are purely studio recordings, never to be 'performed'.
Your musical influences
Bill Nelson, Brian Eno, The Orb, Soft Machine (from about album #7) Progressive Rock flights of fancy.
What equipment do you use?
Guitars, drums, keyboards, e-bow, harmonics, voices, samples...anything that is suitable for the musical idea.
Anything else?
If you hear it in your head and you like it, have a go at recording it. When you've done that, it can live in the real world and be enjoyed over and over
