The Valentines

The members of Valentines include, scratch on Bass/Vocals, sand'e napolis on Keyboard, jimi pils on Guitar, and nothingness Conley on Drums. The band formed in New York City in the fall of 1998. Experimenting with "the art of noise tactics," that would play a major part in their signature sound, they created unique and original keyboard tones. Sonic Youth, Girls Against Boys, and Jesus Lizard are only a few bands that influenced Valentines to stay with their underground roots. Valentines recorded their first album entitled, "Meet the Valentines" which was released on their independent label Fumundaground Records. The CD was only available at shows and independent record stores. They immediately began to tour in support of their record. Taking a break to record a new album, currently entitled "Under Conviction," and to do one-offs including - CBGB's in New York City, 2003 and Voodoo Fest in New Orleans. The band is currently touring and promoting both albums in a growing circuit that leads them from New York, Kentucky, Tennessee, Florida, New Orleans, California, and other cities in between They have been constantly working to broaden their fan base.
