THE UPRISINGS MUSIC COVERS A LARGE SPECTRUM OF MUSICAL TASTES. HAVING SUCH A WIDE VARIETY OF MUSICAL INFLUENCES ALLOWS THE BAND TO PLAY A WIDER VARIETY OF STYLES THAN MOST OTHER YOUNG BANDS. IN RECENT SUCCESS THE BAND HAD THEIR SONG, THIS OLD TOWN, CHOOSEN TO BE FEATURED ON THE ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK FOR THE MOVIE, KALAMAZOO?
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
THE UPRISING WAS FORMED IN THE FALL OF 2002. OVER THIS SHORT PERIOD OF TIME THE UPRISING HAS RECORDED THREE ALBUMS AND HAS PLAYED MANY SHOWS. THIS PAST SUMMER THEY SPENT MOST OF THEIR TIME RECORDING THEIR THIRD EP WHICH WILL BE RELEASED LATER THIS YEAR.
