The Trendies are creating a trend with their infectious mixture of rock, punk, reggae and rockabilly. It's hard to resist the smile that can creep across your face as you surrender to the tapping of your extremities, singing out loud with melodies and harmonies that don't easily find their way into the forgotten files folder. One may even indulge in the occasional grin as this thermally charged collection of fun & furious tunes about the common threads of American life and longing unfold.Band/artist history
In the beginning of the band's history, Lead Vocalist/Guitarist Anthony (T.C.) Culver and Lead Guitarist Charles Berlingieri had briefly jammed in an original rock project as an aside to various cover bands they both had been members of to support their bills and gain publicity. At the time, Berlingieri had been performing in three other separate acts with Bass Player/Vocalist Mick Houser after the two had settled into the local cover band scene upon completion of a great deal of touring the USA for a couple of years. Another longtime associate and cover band refugee, Drummer Chris Barki, was brought in to complete the lineup and install the foundation of what was to become a group of original troubadours crafting a catchy and unique sound, light hearted on the surface yet aligning with every common Joe/Jane with an ordinary life full of drama, desire, desperation and disaster. Later, Culver opted to switch to the role of front man, a prescription filled with ease and a knack for exciting, explosive showmanship. At stage right is latest addition Guitarist/Vocalist Jason Casterlin, brought on board after having impressed the gang with his arsenal of steady work and growth as both performer and songwriter.
The main accomplishment of The Trendies is its members' strong songwriting skills as well as fresh sounding vocal work and talented, perfectly suited musicianship...with all intentions of the group's music being accessible to popular culture on a large scale, across lines of race, gender and age, yet not limited by the narrow scope of any perceived flavor of the week. This, in combination with their raw, loose and energetic live shows, is enough to leave any new inquisitor scratching their lid and wondering why they haven't been exposed to this group before and when they can get their next dose.Have you performed in front of an audience?NYC & Hudson Valley, NY
Your musical influences
The Trendies would sit well in the record bin in the company of some of this generation's most popular and prolific rock acts such as Green Day, Blink 182, Sublime, Rancid, No Doubt and Social Distortion, with a wink across the aisle to some of the most influential and enduring classic artists such as The Clash, Sex Pistols, The Beach Boys, Aerosmith, Elvis Costello, Joe Jackson, The Stray Cats, Cheap Trick, The Ramones, Bob Marley and The Police. With an ample catalogue of songs built to stand the test of time, the most appropriate place to find a volume of work by The Trendies should be in your very own private collection.micksmessages's station

I added "Too Much" to my "songs I wish I'd written" radio station. It kicks - I especially like the bridge. Very well produced overall. Keep up the great songwriting!
