The Timewarp Project
Hi all. Basically this is just a one-mans band so to speak. I create music on the pc using renoise and various vst's.
I mostly fiddle around a bit with trance, hardtrance, techno and hardhouse/style.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Back in 1996 I used to make music on the amiga using protracker as main program and created only hardcore music. Then in 1998 I got a pc and was using fasttracker 2 on it. But because I went from 4 channels (amiga has 4 channels only) to 32 channels, I didn't know how to fill those in and lacked inspiration. I tried various things but wasnt satisfied with what I made. My biggest mistake was to listen too much to my own music. I would say:"bah", while other people would say:"hey...this actually sounds cool". So I decided to stop that and let other people say or think how they would like it. That would satisfy me more.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
No. Not yet. Altough maybe in the future I would like to try it sometimes.
Your musical influences
Underworld is my greatest inspiration altough their music pieces are difficult to comprehend sometimes. I also like vnv nation alot and juno reactor.
What equipment do you use?
Renoise and various VST's running on one single pc.
