Blues / Rock Power Trio From Binghamton NYBand/artist history
If there ever was an American Band... it's The Tail Gators. Three "Be American - Buy American" no bullshit guys, based in Binghamton, NY (the heartland of the northeast as well as, the home of industrial strife). This band is all about Fast Cars, Hot Women, Harleys and the Blues. Their brand of Rock / Blues style can be traced back to each member's influences from ZZ Top, Gov't Mule, Bottle Rockets, Bad Company, Petty, The Beach Boys and The Beatles (just to name a few). The band's set list is made up of many songs from the afore mentioned artists. Their live performances are powerful, raw and eloquent all in the same breath. Many people who have seen the band remark "I've never seen any band... local or big time play with so much passion." "These guys really mean it, from the heart." "It's like an emotional roller coaster ride they take me on... those bastards" stated some fans.
The band's goals and objectives are to play lots of great gigs and have a lot of fun. These are fun guys that have a great sense of humor. To be entertaining with out being contrived or synthetic. Anyway... It's real music for real people.
In 2003 the band completed their first EP album "Swamp Opera". "It is a humorous album with a serious side to it... it will include many of the original songs the band currently performs live such as... "She's Got Me On Her Shitlist", "Livin On Credit" and "I'll Never Forget Old What's Her Name?"
