The Sulker
Brian emailed Mike. They talked on the phone and eventually met at a small cafe on the north side of Chicago. They soon began to play using another band's (Dolorous Canter) practice space. The original name of the band was The Tragic Ink. After months of searching, they were introduced to Jamie who soon joined as the primary guitar wizard. Upon discovery of The Spastic Ink recording a new album, they decided a name change was in order. They settled on The Sulker. Seven songs later, The Sulker is getting ever closer to recording an actual demo and unveiling itself upon an uninterested public.
November 2002 - Mike and Brian confab to play music together.
June 2003 - Mike and Brian record a crap recording to send to prospective new members.
January 2004 - Jamie becomes an official member. The name is solidified as The Sulker.
April 2004 - A newer and slightly less crappy recording is made. A few are sent to labels and websites with zero response. Expectations remain skeptical.
November 2004 - Two and a half new songs are recorded. Talk ensues about entering a real studio in coming months.
We play live in our shared practice space once a week and sometimes twice. We soon hope to include the addition of spectators.
