Brief Bio
Jerimiah 3:15 states "And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, and they will feed you with knowledge and understanding".
While the world of hip hop is flooded with flamboyant rap artist, platinum chains, and meaningless messages, there remains a remnant that refuses to conform to the ways of the world. Steadfast in his faith 21 year old Street Pastor has emerged as an urban missionary to those influenced by Hip Hop culture. With over twelve years of experience in the ministry the "young veteran" seeks to be a model and a messenger of the gospel's transforming power especially (but not exclusively) among the hip hop generations.
Yaves Ellis AKA Street Pastor has been trailblazing the Christian Hip Hop scene for the past decade. With a mixture of raw talent and passion rooted in Christ; the young emcee quickly made an impact in an arena that was flooded with artist at least ten years his senior. Travelling all over the continental U.S. and performing in front of audiences as large as 20,000 have landed him coverage on national platforms like C-SPAN.
This minister, entrepreneur, producer, motivational speaker, and national recording artist, is functioning in his God given gifts and keeping his mind focused on ministry.
The "young veteran", as many call him, has a unique ministry which has given him the opportunity to minister to the multitudes, rather it be in the prisons, schools, streets, or the churches Street Pastor provides a message that cuts straight to the hearts of men.
For every congregation there is a pastor, one who has been called to deliver what thus says the Lord. Street Pastor has been called to shepherd the sheep that refuse to step foot in the church. Though the odds seem to be against him, Street Pastor realizes that the mission he is on is backed by Christ, which makes all things possible!
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Last summer we did a tour where we set up a stage in the middle of different neighborhoods and held live concerts for the "hood".
