Starfire Band--Detroit's Best Power Pop Band

Biography: Starfire is one of Detroit’s premier 70’s & 80’s classic rock bands. They have a huge playlist from the

great “2GBD” bands of that period including Aerosmith, Zeppelin, Cheap Trick, Stones and Uriah Heep. In 2005,

Starfire recorded their first CD and currently recording on a 12 song CD to be finished this year.

Starfire, a West Side ( Warrendale ) Detroit band was born into the heady hard rock music environment of the early

1970’s. As high school students, Starfire was one of the hottest bands to play the high school and college circuits.

They were heard occasionally on local Detroit radio and performed various concerts throughout the Midwest. After

12 years of being away, they have reformed to rock once again. For booking information

We are playing live performances mostly festivals including the Detroit News Sonic Contest where Starfire was chosen as one of nine finalists for the band contest. We had a chance to perform in Downtown Detroit.

Major influences are the Beatles, Cheap Trick, Aerosmith, Bad Company
