Alternative rockers The Southern Electrics were formed in South East London three years ago, releasing their debut album Electric Superhighway on Mi5 Recordings UK in October 2004. They've built a formidable reputation & following, playing regularly at top London venues such as The Borderline, The Garage, The Barfly, 93 Feet East and The Metro Club, along with recent dates in Ireland & Germany. Electric Superhighway, the first UK single release from their debut album, was produced by modern rock maestro & Muse producer Paul Reeve & has been made available as a free download, via the main sites such as iTunes and Napster, as well as direct from Radio Station and Magazine websites. The track has received extensive radio airplay, including BBC Radio (Tees, York, Humber, Leeds, Sheffield), Rockbox Radio, Totallyradio, Radio2xs, Juice FM (Brighton), RTE2 FM (Ireland), Today FM (Ireland), Totalrock & XFM. They also recently played a four song live session for the BBC Radio Raw Talent Show. To accompany the single, a Video Shoot for Electric Superhighway took place at Pinewood Studios, directed by Vincent Lewis from Ignite Productions. If all that wasn't enough, TSE have provided the music to Barcelona Burnout a road trip documentary film about the 100th Aniversary of the Harley Davidson, produced and directed by Vincent Lewis with Executive Producer Andrew Mark Sewell as an Ignite/B7 Co-Production. The film was aired on Men and Motors in October 2004. The Southern Electrics' album Electric Superhighway, is out now through Universal distribution.
