The Sound Debate

Established in Mid 2005, Melbourne band The Sound Debate came together when mates Jardy and Marty decided to take their garage jamming sessions further, so they recruited an additional three band members to create The Sound Debate. The band draws its inspiration from bands such as Pearl Jam, Faith No More, Led Zeppelin and the Foo Fighters, to create their own unique sound. The result is a mix of rock with elements of blues and funk. With the distinctive lyrics, duelling guitars, and a booming rhythm section, The Sound Debate demands audience attention. Jager Uprising agrees The Sound Debate have power and heart. The Sound Debate came on and rocked. Oz rocked, southern rocked, blues rocked. Twin Guitars, bass, drums and vocals rocked. The band appearances to date are an astute reminder of their Melbourne roots, playing venues such as The Espy, Revolver, The Palace and Rubys. The Sound Debate have asserted themselves as a band who love nothing more than rocking crowds around town with their high energy live show. December was a turning point for the band, with their Grand Final success in the Melbourne Fresh Revolver Showcase 05, and it was in the same month that the band hit the studio to record their first four track demo cd, and have recently recorded another sample cd, which has been well received by fans.
